3 Forum Myths That You should Know to Get More Traffic

Over the years, forum marketing has been one of my primary sources of traffic and income for my sites. However, most people totally fail to get the benefits that forum marketing can bring. Today, I want to share 3 forum marketing myths that you can be aware of to build your business and get more out of your life with less effort.

Myth #1 Forums Are A Great Link Building Tactic

Forum Marketing really isn't about the links that you build. In fact, some of your best forums that you will find don't allow links at all. If you really want to kick it up a notch, get into forums and start connecting with people. You will find that you get a lot of people talking about you, even if the forum doesn't allow links.

Myth#2 - Forums Are Dying

You see these type of comments all the time, especially when people are trying to sell you something else. The fact is that forums aren't going anywhere. They are a great source of traffic to your site, and there are more forums online today than there ever have been. There are new forums that are just building up, and there are some well established forums that have been active communities for years.

Myth #3 Forums Aren't Profitable

Most of the forums that you will find are owned by product owners. They wouldn't be wasting their time on it if they didn't make money from doing it.

In fact, one great way to build your brand and sales with a particular forum is to promote that forum owner's products on your own site. This way, when people visit your site, and see that you have a bonus offer for people who buy through you, getting sales will be easy. People from that forum are already interested in the products that the forum owner offers, and you can use their authority to build your blog quickly.

Avoid the Myths

Avoid falling for these myths and start using forums for your next website. You will gain from the forums if you put in the time and effort.
